StoryBoard That

StoryBoard That is a free website that has added features for a fee.

If you like doing storyboards with your students when reading this is definitely a site you will want to check out. It is easy to use and compatible with Google Classroom.  They also have ideas under various subjects so you can think outside the box and not just how to use this with literature.

When you check under ELA there is a lot to explore.
You can get lost exploring the literature resources on their own - but don't forget to check out the novel studies for even more material:

No matter what subject you teach you will be able to add some great literacy devices and your students will enjoy the opportunity to let their artistic sides show.  That's because one of the best things about Storyboard That is its versatility. In a social studies class, you can have students create a timeline of events. In ELA, you could assign students a storyboard to teach plot elements, character, and setting. Plus, there may already be a lesson plan created for your particular purpose!

And don’t forget, with the drag and drop characters they don't even have to be good at drawing to make an awesome storyboard. The art on Storyboard That may not have the best selection but it will give your students the confidence they need to create a storyboard of their own without having to draw their own characters. That's a win-win in my book.

Ciera’s Farewell

Just like that fall intersession is over and spring semester is approaching. I had a great time reading through everyone’s literacy reviews....
