I tried accessing it on my phone for my daughter and discovered it is not free for mobile use, in which you must pay to upload the App. The positive side is that it is free to access by personal computer (PC) without an App purchase. By PC, you must sign up with an email to utilize with your students or children. By purchasing a membership, you get additional access to an array of “more” early literacy games, as seen in the photos attached (Referring to posting pictures on the blog). For example, Teach Your Monster To Read includes reading companions, digital flashcards, learning phonics, and many more games. All Teach Your Monster To Read's games are designed in series and parts. The fun is endless. It is available for math as well.

Early learners benefit from the daily repetition of words and sounds.  It scaffolds leading to more complex learning, such as whole reading cations of creative monster storylines.  On the PC Introductory trial, I tested it with my pre-K4 child.  The introduction is limited to simple repetitions of sounds, which suggests you try other areas of their site. In one of the games, your child will click on the letter then the sound of the letter is given to match the picture. The adult may choose letters in preference to practice.

If you view the variety of games shown below (for the blog only), you will surely enjoy the sound effects, the graphic design, and the unique concept of the games. Then, you may purchase the app for your handheld device if you wish to be mobile.  On your PC, it is entirely free. Just sign up.  It surely provides effective early literacy through play.  Best of all, there are narrated interactive stories with captions.  When the character speaks, their dialogue appears in words.  This allows the early reader to experience words, to see and hear.

Furthermore, Teach Your Monster Story: Usborne Publishing is an independent, family-run business that has been sparking children's curiosity and love of reading around the world since 1973. In 2011, company founder Peter Usborne CBE, along with his daughter Nicola and son Martin, established the Usborne Foundation to develop creative and innovative responses to early years education's biggest challenges, according to the site.

The start of this journey was the creation of Teach Your Monster to Read, a game that would come to help over 30 million children (about the population of Texas) on the first crucial steps of their reading journey. Since launch, it has been played over 300 million times, helps two million children learn to read every month, and received BAFTA nominations in 2013 and 2015, according to the site.

In 2021, they changed our name to Teach Your Monster to represent our growing family of games. According to the site, they are now helping children tackle a diverse range of learning challenges in new and exciting ways, from numeracy to nutrition.

As an organization, they are proud of their methodology, which puts children at the center of the creative process. Their creative teams are supported to become experts in the chosen field, collaborating closely with expert educational advisors. Player testing in classrooms is built into the process from the beginning, according to the site.

"My granddaughter loves this game and plays it a few times a week. I am happy knowing that it is a simple "game" but that it is teaching her to read and feel rewarded with books that she can go back and read later as they stay on the bookshelf in the game." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
