Let’s explore this website more! When you think of a world of reading books, this website would exceed your expectations. Students start off at their homesite where they get to hop on an air balloon and lift into the sky to the wonderful worlds of reading. Students can choose from seven different themed islands and discover books and educational video field trips based off their interests. If there are books that spark their interest, they can check out that book and put in their backpacks. Let’s say that your student really wants to read a book but it’s above their level of reading, there is a feature for the story to be read to them. The audio narrations are supporting and sets good pace and intonations for students’ mimic.

As educators, this a cool website to use or create lessons. Teachers can align standards to their lessons which can be tailored to the needs of your students. It can also include comprehension questions and activities. At the same time, educators can see student reports in real time. Each student has their own track to monitor the number of books read, videos watched, and how well they comprehended. This ILA website has an awesome library for students to explore and enjoy the wonders of reading!
